Wow! “Be careful that you do not refuse to listen to the One who is speaking…”- what a powerful statement! The opportunity and choice that we have to gain in understanding IF we will choose to STOP and LISTEN. Definitely a Kingdom principle to practice in order to gain in understanding of who He is, who we are in Him and who He is in us. This is so needed in our busy “more is better” culture today.

The intimacy of relationship is available IF we will allow ourselves to BE still. Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God”… the word STILL in the original language means: to see, be idle, relax, let drop, be quiet, and withdraw. The word KNOW means: to acknowledge, discover and experience, to recognize, admit, learn to know and be aware.

Practice His presence today- take 5 minutes out of every hour to “be still and know Him”. Ask and engage- “What do you want me to know?; What do you say about me?; What do you want me to know about ______?; What do you want me to say, to do?

Surely, there’s an “IF, THEN” waiting for you and me there as we purpose our imagination on Him.

Thank you Rebecca- you are surely gifted and made for greater things. Excited to see this happening!

Sam I’m so thankful you’ve shared what God continues to show you! I never really thought about it but to “be still and know that I am God.” Is also an IF, THEN jewel. Essentially, when His sheep lie down in green pastures we come to know our Shepherd! This truth makes my heart leap with joy. Joy that is not defined by my current schedule or life’s blessings but rather joy that is eternal. You have challenged us to take each one of His words to it’s depth, committing time in His presence and practicing! This is exactly what Dena did, she practiced His presence.

Ooh! Just had a verse pop. I love it when that happens, so I think I’ll share Proverbs 2:4-7 NLT
“4 Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. 5 Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. 6 For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. 7 He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity.”

Goodness me, do you see all the THENS?! I like to think of the THENS as His unchanging promises to us amongst our IFS. I found four THENS (understanding, knowledge of God, common sense, and shielding) just in this small portion of scripture. Digging for treasure is SO rewarding. I hope you’ll continue to shares your insight in this blogging community bro. Happy treasure hunting!
