Whether it’s Houston, California, North Korea, Cambodia or the White House the most powerful place to be is on our knees. When believers humble themselves before God, praying and seeking His face we are blessed. Prayer is one of the most underestimated powers accessible to humanity. Prayer provides perspective to the world’s many woes. It transforms our hearts. In Christ, we petition Heaven and God Almighty hears us. Answered prayer does not always look like we think it should. Does God promise to take away the hurricane or widespread forest fires? Does He promise to disarm the nuclear potential across the world? Does He eliminate famine and human trafficking? No. He offers healing from heaven, forgiveness for our sins and healing for our land. Check out the IF, THEN statement in God’s second appearance to Solomon as we read in 2 Chronicles 7:14 from the Old Testament.
“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV)
What is your part (the IF) in the healing of our land? God’s promise stands. His Word is unfailing and He is faithful. Lets tend to the ‘IF’ that He has put before us.
