Take a stand Christian! Live for Jesus and say ‘no’ to slander and gossip. If we serve God, how can we tear down those made in His image? This evil habit is every where, even in church. We disguise it and say, “Oh, Mary and Jeff need prayer their marriage is really in trouble.”
It happens. It spreads like a cancer in a congregation. It’s just what the enemy wants, division and discord among the body of Christ. If our words devour each other we’ve lost the power we have in pure living. Our testimony becomes rotten and the foundation of our faith cracks. A divided house can’t stand. If you’ve done this, make it right. Repent. Give no audience to gossip. Allow God to tame your tongue and remove yourself from those that feast on mockery and strife. The Lord detests “a person who sows discord in a family.” (Proverbs 6:19)
A word to the victim of gossip: God loves you friend. Never allow the actions of people (even church people) to misrepresent the love of our Savior. The hypocrisy of professing Christians is never a reason to stay away from God or HIS CHURCH. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. You are sons and daughters of the King no matter what others say.
“IF you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom.” (James 3:13 NLT)

Hi,
I just stumbled upon your blog by accident and I don’t usually leave comments but I just wanted to say that I greatly enjoyed reading it. Your posts are so on point and the verses you quote are really well picked.
I have been living my life as an atheist and it lead me to a terrible path. So many bad decisions, so many missed opportunities, so many negative acts and thoughts… I always thought that I don’t need God and am perfectly fine on my own but in reality, I completely lacked direction. And I would be forever stuck in that cycle if I had never picked up the bible a couple of months ago. It’s incredible how much it changed my life over such a short period of time. It helped me change my attitude, regain self-control over myself, fight my anxiety, drop some really bad and harmful habits and even find a job. There is still so much for me to do, the path to salvation is long and hard. But I’m confident that with the help of God there is nothing I can’t do!
Looking forward to reading more of your blog and God bless!
