Do you wonder about hate? It’s mind boggling how much energy is drained in discord and division. Folks spend hours, even days, working their arguments to perfection to discredit Christians. Christ dealt with this legalistic, rigid type of thinking when talking to the religious leaders. They had a ton of questions to ask Him but no intention of listening.
Have you ever talked to someone who pretends to have an interest in your belief? It starts with a question and then before you know it you’re defending the existence of God. Don’t be discouraged, IF you take a stand for Christ, you will be persecuted friend. Christ tells us that He brings division. (Matthew 10:34, Luke 12: 51-53) This is because He presents us with a choice. Follow Him or follow the world. You cannot do both.
When you take a stand for Jesus and live righteously, it comes at a cost. Whether it’s in marriage, family, with friends or even in church, there is a cost to being heirs to Christ. IF your faith is lukewarm and changes with the winds then you won’t offend anyone. As soon as you decide to live your faith, look out! You will be persecuted. I hope your encouraged by Jesus’ words below. Stay strong Christian and fight the good fight. Why? Because He chose you!
“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” (John 15: 18-19)
“These things I have spoken to you that you should not be made to stumble.” (John 16:1)
